You’ll:
✨ Learn how to shift botanical dye colors with pH changes (yes — watch the colors transform!)
✨ Create gorgeous flower & foliage prints on silk using blooms and greenery from our fields
✨ Take home two pieces you made yourself: a 33”x33” bandana & an 8”x54” scarf
✨ Enjoy light snacks & refreshments while you create
I’ll also have Botanical Dye Kits available at the end of class so you can keep experimenting at home — they make amazing gifts or fun projects to do with kids! 🎁

For this class, we will be starting with silk that is pre-dyed due to time limitations. All silk soaks overnight in a botanical dye bath to get the best saturation possible. This allows us to jump straight to the fun part, smashing petals and shifting colors.
We will have two color options to choose from:
Marigold- Starts a bright gold and shifts to a rich, dark olive green.
Cherry- Starts pink/lilac and shifts to a beautiful pale blue.
